THE OBSERVED DRIVES

Following on from the Tuesday evening theory session you will meet your allocated Observer on Sunday morning at Sainsbury's Castle Marina car park. Each drive starts at either 9.30am or 10.30am and lasts for an hour (sometimes two hours).

Driving your vehicle you will be observed by one our IAM certified Observers who will guide you to make practical improvements. As each drive is structured in-line with the previous Tuesday theory session you will be putting in to practice that theory, and building upon previous sessions/drives

The Observer will complete an assessment tick sheet after each drive which will show how you are making progress through the course.

There are 19 sections on the tick sheet each with the same heading as the principles discussed each week in the theory sessions.

Your first drive will concentrate and be assessed on the six principles discussed on the previous Tuesday, your second drive will add in the next six principles and so on.

If you feel that you would like the benefit of any additional drives during the course there are a number of Observers who are available to do this.
